Lake Bolsena provides an ideal setting for bike riding, swimming (in crystal clear water), fishing, boating and other aquatic sports.
The other lake towns (Bolsena, Marta, Capodimone, Gradoli etc) offer a wealth of atmospheric piazzas and streets, historic sites, friendly inhabitants and dining opportunities.
Villa Lante, Parco dei Mostri on Bomarzo, and other local parks provide opportunities for interesting, leisurely strolls.
Southern Umbria (Orvieto, Todi, Deruta, Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto) and Tuscany (Siena, Montepulciano , Pienza) are also easily reachable by car.
